		<description>they still import them, but just not much now.   most mangosteen are grown in the wild, so they produce a white cotton-like substance on its outer shell (which is a type of natural insect-repellent).  the taiwanese government deems this substance as a type bacteria / germ and the only way to rid of these at the moment is with a torch.  needless to say, after being burnt the outer shell looks all black and burnt like a cole, which caused sales to drop dramatically.  my mom used to import them.</description>
