Foreigners Are Easy
The weather was so lovely yesterday afternoon–it was a perfect day to be stalked at the Taipei Train Station. I stopped by the train station after attending a correspondents’ club event nearby to check out the high-speed rail schedule before heading home. My stalker, a nasty looking, early 40s weirdo toting a giant fake Burberry tote bag, followed me from the bathroom and around the station. He was so enamored with me he even ran after me into the 310 bus which I caught as it was just about to pull out. Now that really freaked me out and I jumped off at the next stop and just took the subway home.
This event reminded me why I hate the Taipei Train Station in the first place. The place has become so gross and grimy. When I was there a burst water pipe was raining all over the floor near the ticket area. The TRA really needs to clean up its trains and stations. And now the station is going to be taken over by the Breeze Center. We’ll see how that works.Â

What a frightening post.
Breeze Centre?
That should be nice - I hope.
I like Breeze Centre but it’s pretty expensive.
Taipei Station is going upscale then?
It’s karmic retribution for all the times you checked out underage betel nut girls by the side of the road, man.
Michael.
Ewwww… I hate the weirdos that start getting obsessed with foreigners. There used to be that one guy who would hang out in front of Shin Kong Mitsukoshi across from the train station with a whole hand-typed manifesto of sorts alleging how all the political figures of Taiwan were trying to destroy him. And I’m NOT talking about the guy who ran for mayor with all the dogs.
The high speed rail counter is a pick up place for weirdos. I don’t think they even have sex … they just put out cigarettes on each other or something.
