I, too, have been the victim more than once in having bought an ill-advised flag or two and then found that because of key errors caused by the maker not knowing what the colors stand for, I am left with a useless rag. Having read the original piece, I am also very happy that Jamaica has reached the milestone of 45 years of independence. Yes, as the opinion writer points out in his letter, 45 years is indeed a very long time to go to reach this key milestone. However, in my humble opinion, I do not know how this milestone could have been reached in a shorter time. Thank God someone has decided to speak out against the Taiwanese making Jamaican flags!
